I fired off a dozen shots hoping to catch the lighting and it was pure luck that I actually succeeded with this one.
And yes, he did head for shore shortly after this was taken.

Great Shot Joe! Lightning is so very hard to capture, then you add in the fisherman..what are the chances!? Love the title as well!

I think he waited too long already, how will he get to shore?
There is something surreal about the sky, it doesn't look natural to me.

The old breakwall he's on is partially submerged it's no more than knee deep. The storm clouds are farther off than they look here with telephoto compression- they seemed at least half way across L. Erie. There was still a bit of hazy sun where we were, giving a bit of a surreal effect. Still, I was a little worried for him myself.
