As you sail down the Volga which is Europe's longest River, you will come upon structures sticking above the waters surface. During Stalin's time a series of locks, dams and reservoir's were created on the Volga with slave labor. The death toll was high. The result is some towns along the waterway were flooded and some of the taller structures will be above the waters surface. It makes for some strange sights.
This was taken while we moved past the structure with D200 and 35-70 f/2.8D Zoom set at 70 mm, f/6.3, 1/520, ISO 100
