Eilean Donan Castle. This was the first and last time that I ever saw this beautiful building. Fortunately, I was driving past as the sun was setting behind the Isle of Skye.

All I can say is ...WOW...what a beautiful shot...the lighting on the Castle is great, and the colors are superb!

Excellent image. On a pure procedural note, you might compress the size a bit. The large version is 3.3 MB, which takes a while to load. To me, it was worth the wait!

This is a really pleasing image... makes you feel warm, comfortable and relaxed looking at it... very "Old World." As a minor siggestion, you might consider cropping some off the bottom of the image (maybe 1/8 to 1/10 of its height) to remove some of the dark area... and shift it a little closer to a horizon around the 1/3 point.

Thank you for your suggestion Light Effect 2414. That area at the bottom of the image causes me difficulty everytime I edit this!. On the one hand, I agree with you, it does appear to be dead space... On the other hand though I feel that it makes a nice leading line to the scenery in the background relegating the castle to scale reference rather than the main focus... I think that your suggestion is more correct though! Smile

A lot of my difficulties would have been solved if I hadn't passed here at low tide!

Take care
