Aeolian islands sunset. I was relaxing at Catamaran Nisida, admiring the colours. Then I picked my D200 and tried to capture the moment. I used the pop up flash at -1 to control the light at the foreground as well as the reflexion and underexposed the whole picture by -1 to add up a dramatic touch. Handheld at f200mm, I used f25 to maximize depth of field. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Very nice shot. It's amazing that with such a simple subject, I still feel like I'm right there too. Adjusting the flash exposure is something I would of WISHED I would have done after getting home.

I am glad you enjoyed the photo too. Personally, I am old fashioned and though I moved to digital back in 2005, I try to minimize the work at the "photoshop". Therefore, I try my best to get a picture as if I was shooting on film in terms of "homework". This adds an extra challenge to my passion. To be honest, I am still cheating, since digital offers the advantage of shooting as many shots as I need, till I get the desired result.
