Genuinely wild, spotted him in a tree as we came around a bend in the car. He was very willing to sit and pose (for a while) though the poor light made capturing the colours a problem.

Nice capture of this furry little subject,,. How ever did you find your focal point through all this foreground fioledge?

Great job, Dave! I like all of those branches...makes it look real. Those guys are neat...just love their red fur and long ear tuffs.

Thanks Lyle, and Karen. I was so pleased when I came around the bend in the road and spotted this guy.


Lyle, thankfully - being so close - it was pretty easy to find a spot where I could focus through on his (?) eye quite easily, but I was fortunate that he decided to sit almost motionless for a couple of minutes while I fired away.
