This is a shot taken about twenty years ago of our daughter Joanna and her (still) very good friend Lauren. I asked them to spin on the tire as I shot with a slow shutterspeed to capture their motion. I was fortunate enough to capture them blurred, but with enough clarity to see the smile on my daughters face, which for me, makes the image work.

I love this photo - I have recently taken shots of my grandchildren doing similar but I didn't do the slow shutter speed to capture the movement! Just got a frozen moment with hair streaming out which is OK, but i love this!! I certainly agree - the smile really makes it work! I'm a novice photographer with lots to learn - thanks for sharing.
