It feels cold, yet peaceful. It reflects the harsh winter but with the promise of sunshine in the future. A lovely and meaningful photo.

The break in the clouds allowed light to bathe the fractured ice in a cool blue which also enhanced the barren tree. But it also produced a hot spot in the image which is distracting to the overall tone of the scene. Scroll down to about the top of the tree to cut out the hot spot and you decide.

Know what packrat means about the hot spot, but really in this case it adds to the image. Really like this
